Good Morning Gals and Happy Monday!

Lets start the week off right with a little beauty fix.

As you all may or may not know, this weekend was the time-honored Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky. The Kentucky Derby is not just a horse race. It is THE horse race, lol, attended by socialites and celebrities alike. This years event was the 138th run of the derby and the gorgeous femmes step out in some of the most swoon-worthy hats you ever want to see. I decided to share a few of my fave looks from the day to discuss not only their haughty headpieces, but more importantly their fabulous face game — their makeup!

First up, the always gorgeous Mary J. Blige.

Ms. Mary was the beautifully feminine lady in red in her form-fitting rouched garden dress, with a beautiful hat decked out with rosettes. Her face for the day was a classic combination of a dark smokey eye and sweet pale pink lip! This isn’t a new look for Mary, but her classic beauty never disappoints!

Next up the always sweet host of Style Network’s How Do I Look?, the Asian beauty, Jeannie Mai.

Jeannie looked sweetly exciting in this bright yet subtle animal print dress. She completed the look with a huge-brimmed sun hat adorned with exotic feathers in the back. . . very sexy. Her make-up was just as fierce with a simple nude eye with a bold and sexy perfect red lip. We love!

Well Gals that’s all I have for today, but I will leave you with links to some great videos to help you get these sexy Derby looks for yourself– the perfect smokey eye and red lip!

Hope you enjoy and until next time, stay glam!

Why are nearly all the outifts eveningwear/cocktail dress + a hat? Isn’t Kentucky Derby a daytime event, so maybe better to go with an elegant day dress?? Though got to ask- do people wear what you get at Ascot, (the ‘less stylish’ ones anyway) loads of orange fake tanned skin on display and wearing stuff that most people wouldn’t even go to a club in?!
